Another week, another week closer to honorable leadership?

This quote speaks to me because I was raised around this philosophy. I grew up in a family business with thousands of incredibly appreciated workers.

All business must be honorable if it is to survive, thrive, and do well for the community around it.

This week, we’re helping a new business launch. And I guarantee you that in their line of work, they would go nowhere fast were they not honorable.

There’s no reason to go into business if you refuse to hold your honor and that of your customers in esteem.

Hopefully, that’s why we’re here after over 20 years. We always treat our customers with honor. I know our customers appreciate the work we do.

I remember watching Steven Tyler talk about the way he wanted to honor his fans. It’s not the same thing as honoring your workers, but it seems like the right message. You have to truly honor your fans with truth, hard work to create excellent results. We got to go see Aerosmith in concert last year in Vegas, and man what a show. It was a wonderful experience, and I felt honored to be there, and honored by the Aerosmith troupe.

So let’s talk a bit more about honor. Integrity. Making good choices.

I just read an interesting article written by Brad Raffensberger, the Replican Georgia Secretary of State, in USA Today. His piece is entitled, “My family voted for Trump. He threw us under the bus anyway.”

To which every Biden voter (Republican, Democrat, and otherwise) replies: “You’re just getting this?” I know, I know.

But here’s the issue. The important, probably respectable person – to the bitter end – ignored what everyone was saying.

Because he was hearing what he wanted to hear.

He was lulled into believing, trusting. Because he was hearing what he wanted to hear. He ignored what he didn’t want to hear. To his own detriment. And he only realized it after it was too late. He helped to fix the problem for some, but only after he had worked to exacerbate it by voting for Trump.

He realized, only too late, that the guy he had been listening to, believing, and entrusting with the leadership of these United States, had no integrity. Everybody not drinking the Kool-aid knew this. But this respectable person didn’t. Because he only trusted information sources he liked.

And of course – this is a very slippery slope. Should we listen to sources we don’t like? Won’t we all then become flat-earthers who know aliens built the pyramids?

As always, the information brokers hold incredible control. In our Internet revolution age, it’s increasingly difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Will Raffensberger now revisit all that he listened to and re-examine his decision making process to make sure it doesn’t happen again? I hope he does. I hope he does. It’s not crazy left wing libtards that are Anti-Trump, as Trump would have you believe. It’s everyone who realized Trump is a phony snake oil salesmen peddling chaos and misinformation – who know he can’t be trusted with the Presidency of the United States – who are Anti-Trump.

This is America.

We must remain diligent in the way we seek information. We must hold all levels accountable to the truth. Whether they wear blue, red, green or any other color.
