Goodness: A Greater Hope – Interfanatic Customer Spotlight

“Those little bits of good put together … overwhelm the world.

Desmond Tutu

Shall we overwhelm the world with little bits of goodness? I’m in!

Here’s Bishop Tutu’s full quote:

“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”

We all try to bring the goodness daily, but it’s not easy. The opportunities sometimes present themselves, but we have keep a lookout for those chances to do good. Eva Ford and her daughter, Helena Lopez, found plenty of opportunities to do good. The foster parent system is complicated and difficult, and they help all parties navigate that system.

They bring hope for children. They bring hope for parents. A Greater Hope does good.

Naturally, when I look at the customers we help and have helped through the years who bring goodness, I think of A Greater Hope (nee Greater Hope Foundation For Children).

Goodness: An Interfanatic Quality

We strive to be good; we strive to do good. It’s projects like A Greater Hope that help us feel good about the work we do. We know we offer services for a fair cost – sometimes more than fair. It is our opportunity to do good for our community, both local and around the world by choosing our clients carefully. We love to work with those doing good.

We recommend our clients. If we’re not comfortable recommending them, we’re not comfortable working with them. Our clients are good people. They are good businesses doing good things. All that is how we get up and go to work every day! To help good people do good and do well.

I’m not saying we do enough. We’re always looking for ways to do more. By looking, we establish the intention to find ways to do good. It’s our way of doing some of those little bits of good Tutu speaks of – it’s our way of helping to overwhelm the world, one little bit of good – one deed – at a time.

A Greater Hope: Goodness Creating Hope

Greater Hope chose to service the highest-need areas of California – the California High Desert is rife with children who need foster care and good families who want to care for children. A Greater Hope brings children in need and families together. It creates greater hope for loving families and children in need.

They also facilitate adoptions. As an adopted child myself, I understand the blessing it is to find a family who will love you. It’s not always negligence of the birth parents that causes problems – some people just aren’t cut out to be parents. It’s a very huge responsibility to bring a child into the world and nurture them to become an active member of society, and some people just can’t. Things happen. Life happens. Ensuring a child who needs better care by placing that child with a loving family is like providing a winning lottery ticket for that child.

A Greater Hope brings children in need and families together.”

The process leading up to connection is usually extremely chaotic and mentally taxing for the child. The parents who are unable to care for their child also undergo extreme psychological trauma. Sometimes they recognize their situation isn’t good for their child and surrender the child to a better life willingly – and facing this is extremely difficult. But sometimes their child is removed from their care unwillingly. And this is an emotionally scarring experience for both child and family.

A Greater Hope provides behavioral health services for both children and parents. They try to ease the transitions, when those transitions are not easy. Again, they do good – they take the opportunity presented to bring goodness.

They also allow children to see birth parents under controlled circumstances, ensuring that all parties are cared for. They do their best to facilitate positive experiences.

Years ago, Greater Hope came to us in need of help with their website. We redesigned the site, produced new logos for the branches of their business. We built a couple of websites for them through the years, and it was always a great partnership.

They’ve grown so much, they now are able to have taken everything in-house. It’s pride inspiring to watch them grow, with our help, and now take off on their own.

Little bits of good, like wildflowers bringing beauty to the world, one small bit at a time. After a particularly wet winter, the fields were in bloom over in PV. I took this from a hiking trail near Point Vincente. The sheer number of flowers was incredible. Little bits of yellow turned into blankets of gold against docile emerald hills.

Efficiency: All Clear LiveScan – Interfanatic Customer Spotlight

Conscienceless efficiency is no match for efficiency quickened by conscience.

Dr. Kelly Miller

My immediate reaction to this quote is a pessimistic one. I think of the brutal efficiency of a Civil War-era Gatling gun, or the efficiency of the Nazi concentration camps – can it get any more efficient than that?

And yet, it can. If Dr. Kelly Miller believed that, it must be so. Here we have a highly educated black man, the son of a Confederate soldier. He lived this concept and the conflict, so he knows far better than I. If he says that conscienceless efficiency won’t stand up to that with a conscience I believe him. I was wrong in my initial take.

Then I think of work. When we do mundane work, without purpose, without conscience, we can be quite efficient. But when we treat our customer’s business as our own, our conscience enters into it. We are driven to be efficient because we realize our work for them is a reflection upon us. We want them to succeed so that we feel successful. And therein I see the genius of Kelly Miller.

Once again, a brilliant man has used an well-designed phrase to enlighten and educate me.

We are not alone.

Efficiency: An Interfanatic Quality

Efficiency is critical in any profitable business. Without efficiency, there is no chance to get more done for less. At Interfanatic, we want to help lots of people. We want to help customers turn a lot of businesses in these trying times. We wish to help the good people we work with get more done.

When we are efficient, our clients profit. So we strive for efficiency in all we do. To offer a compelling price point. To create excellent production.

All Clear LiveScan – Efficiency in Action

Helena Lopez and her Greater Hope Foundation had great need for fingerprinting in their foster care service. There wasn’t sufficient fingerprinting facility in the California High Desert. Their solution: do it themselves.

So, they opened All Clear LiveScan. The brought fingerprinting to their community, filling a need, and even better, efficiently filling another need of their own customers.

This is the joy of efficiency a business can explore as it grows. It’s difficult to break through phases when you’re starting from scratch. But that’s what Helena did. That’s what Greater Hope Foundation did. And they are able to serve their customers and their community at large more efficiently. It’s a model story.

“…they are able to serve their … community … more efficiently. It’s a model story.”

And being good at Foster Care is such a critical function in our society. We hear about people fighting against abortion all the time. But what happens to those born children whose parents can’t handle the responsibility? Those would-be parents wise enough to recognize their shortcomings opt for adoption. Others can’t get there from here, and foster care is the result. It’s difficult. It’s hard on everyone. The effects trickle though our community and society.

Greater Hope Foundation getting good at foster care serves our community. And it is so needed. If they can get efficient at helping children, any thing they do is a bonus to all of us. All Clear LiveScan is just one example of how they come up with innovative ways to make our world better.

Use Our Efficiency to Your Advantage:
Interfanatic Power Site Production

When you’re looking for a business website, you want it to work. You want it to set the tone, and tell your story and bring those customers to you. If your website is not efficient in doing those things, you lose business.

We get that. We also get that you need it done quickly. There is no better way to control your narrative than through your website. We will build it for you. And then, we can keep your customers coming back.

It all starts with efficiency. It all ends with efficiency. We’ll complete your website efficiently. We work quickly and efficiently so you can get your business up and running.

And we’ll do it better than anybody else. Our price packages are pretty compelling, too. We work with budgets of all sizes.

Interfanatic and Efficiency

Our conscience is quickened by our goal to help our customers succeed. Their success drives everything we do. Therefore, we do everything we can to have excellent systems and processes in place to complete our tasks efficiently.

We need this conscience-quickened efficiency in everything we do. In work, but also in life in general. Right now, our brothers and sisters are hurting. Right now, we’re beginning to have the veil lifted on just how much they’re hurting. Their lives matter.

They have been hurting. Let us listen. To their stories – to their take. Let us be educated such that our conscience will quicken our efficiency to aid their cause.

What is more efficient than a beautiful bloom in the desert, where no water flows? Okay, okay, yes, this isn’t from a desolate desert but rather a planter in my backyard. But this life’s ability to be efficient is still marvelous. It is beauty and efficiency to learn from and to marvel at.

The Greater Hope Foundation for Children Brings Foster Children to Good Homes Throughout California’s High Desert

The Greater Hope Foundation for Children is a phenomenal group of people that have come together for the good of children in need of love. GHF has offices in Victorville and Barstow serving the highest-need areas of California, putting children with loving homes.

Helena Smith came to WSmad with a need to take advantage of some great sponsorship from her friends at Google.  “I need to update my Web Site, it’s not bad but I know you can do much better.”  We’re pretty confident that we knocked it out of the park.  Not only is her new design engaging and gorgeous, but the site is much more functional, making the lives of the hard-working GHF staff easier amidst this difficult business.

Have a look at their new Web Site at www.GreaterHopeFoundation.com, and become a part of the solution.
